Antti Mikkonen has been appointed Vice President of Research & Development (R&D) at Tana Oy, effective 1 December. Mikkonen brings nearly two decades of solid experience in R&D management and product development within the heavy machinery and technology sectors.
Most recently, he served as Head of Product at Gofore Oyj, where he led the development of simulation and training products, managed multi-project R&D teams, and supported innovation in mobile equipment solutions. Prior to that, he spent several years at Ponsse Oyj, including five years as Director of Control Systems, where he oversaw the development of advanced control systems for heavy forest machines.

At Tana, Antti will lead the R&D organization and drive the development of next-generation recycling and landfill equipment, helping to produce versatile solutions for the circular economy. He will also work closely with global distributors, sales teams, and product managers to ensure Tana’s technologies continue to meet the evolving needs of customers in the solid waste management industry.
