According to Reverse Logistics Group (RLG) by Reconomy, the international circular economy specialist, the accelerating roll out of Textile EPR across Europe will soon create increasingly complex cross-border reporting requirements for multinational brands. EU member states will be required to transpose the new rules into national law by June 2027 and establish operational schemes by April 2028, meaning brands operating across Europe will need to navigate a patchwork of different reporting obligations.
To help multinational brands, RLG by Reconomy is expanding ReDress, its dedicated Textile Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO), to create a cross-border compliance solution. Launched in Italy in 2024, ReDress combines local expertise with Europe-wide support, helping to simplify multi-country reporting while also reducing administrative burdens and compliance risk.
Additionally, RLG by Reconomy has launched a Textile Voice Industry Union to give leading brands and retailers a direct role in shaping future Textile EPR schemes. It recently established a union in Poland, bringing together brands including H&M, Zalando, COS and La Mania to contribute to discussions around the practical implementation of the country’s future scheme.
As an operator of PROs, managing over 40 such organisations across different EPR categories in 15 countries, Reconomy will leverage its scale, in-country expertise and data capabilities to support the expansion of ReDress. The model builds on Reconomy’s more than 25 years of experience supporting global brands with Textile EPR through a comprehensive end-to-end suite of services. These include environmental compliance, regulatory monitoring, data management, take-back schemes, Digital Product Passports and circularity solutions.
