Doppstadt launches the RB 12 worldwide: Horizontal Grinder makes its European debut

Robust technology for demanding applications: Doppstadt has expanded its product portfolio to include the high-performance RB 12 Horizontal Grinder.

The environmental technology specialist is now distributing the RB 12 worldwide via its global dealer and service network. In Sweden and France, the new Horizontal Grinder from Doppstadt has already made its European debut – to an overwhelming response from customers and dealers.

“By integrating the RB 12 into the Doppstadt brand, we have strategically enhanced our product portfolio and sustainably strengthened our international presence,” emphasises Sascha Platte, Product Manager at Doppstadt. The RB 12 is based on tried-and-tested Redback technology, which has been in use in Australia for more than 30 years in demanding applications.

Global availability through strategic integration

Since 2025, Doppstadt has been marketing the two Redback grinders, the DS800T and DS1125T, in North America – with great success, as Platte reports: “We have firmly established both models in North America within a year – thanks in part to the excellent support from our local dealer, Ecoverse. They stand for robustness and reliability, thus embodying our new motto, ‘Built to Run’.”

Encouraged by the positive response from the North American market, Doppstadt is now rolling out the DS1125T – marketed as the RB 12 – worldwide. The specialist in processing technology can draw on a strong global network of service staff and around 50 dealers.

Robust construction for high machine availability

The RB 12 is characterised by its robust construction, intuitive operation and easy maintenance. Its sophisticated design offers high throughput even when processing the most challenging materials, such as green and clearing waste, roots and logs, waste wood, as well as forestry residues. At the heart of the machine is a Caterpillar C32 diesel engine with 895 kW (1,125 PS). “This powerful engine enables high throughput rates, meaning that even large quantities of material can be processed effortlessly in one go,” explains Platte.

A distinctive feature of the RB 12 is its wide feed hopper. The directly driven, individually controlled hydraulic motors ensure proportional material feed. A robust rotor and anvil can withstand even hard foreign objects. The RB 12 also sets new standards when it comes to servicing: its screens can be changed in less than 20 minutes, thereby reducing downtime and increasing machine availability.

Successful European debut

The RB 12 made its European debut at the end of September at the OP OPEN event organised by the Swedish Doppstadt dealer OP System in Landskrona. In live demonstrations, the RB 12 proved its high efficiency and robustness while processing green waste and waste wood. “The new RB 12 made a strong impression on our customers. I am grateful that we had the opportunity to showcase this machine here in Sweden,” says Markus Möller, Head of Sales at OP System.

The RB 12 also made a strong impression in France. At an event organised by the dealer W41 Environnement in Parcay-Meslay in early October, the horizontal grinder lived up to its slogan “RB 12. Proven tough. Seriously reliable.” in front of a large number of spectators.
