expanding its quality mechanical recycling.
Following the July 2025 press release announcing the company’s new shareholding structure and further investment in business development, GreenDot reports expansion of its capabilities and business footprint by welcoming Forplast, a quality compounder of rHDPE bottle-to-bottle and rPP, to the Group.
This transaction strengthens GreenDot’s leadership in mechanical recycling of household plastic packaging waste and in compounding of quality recyclates back into plastic packaging. This investment will further contribute to the European plastic packaging circular economy objectives, to the industry decarbonization challenges, and, in particular, to the 2030 recycled content targets for plastic packaging under the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation.
Laurent Auguste, GreenDot CEO said: “We are delighted to have Forplast join the GreenDot group. Together, we will increase our offer to converters and brands of true, 100% bottle-to-bottle grade circular economy solutions. The expertise developed by Forplast over the years is unique. GreenDot will enable Forplast to meet its full business potential and contribute to broadening its market reach. This integration confirms GreenDot’s ambition to take a leadership position in mechanical recycling of plastic packaging in Europe. It also demonstrates the attractiveness of the GreenDot team to entrepreneurs of the plastic recycling industry at a time of great transformation of this market.”
Paolo Aimi, Forplast CEO commented: “We are thrilled to merge our company into the GreenDot Group. Belonging to a larger European family enables us to face and meet the challenges of the European plastic recycling community. This integration into the GreenDot Group provides us with access to additional PCR plastic waste feedstock and allows us to apply our technical knowledge in the Group’s activities. Forplast is an established Italian company, founded in 1971 by the Villa family with a long tradition in compounding and PE pipe manufacturing.”
