Doppstadt focuses on flexibility: significantly larger pool of used and rental machines

Peak order periods, short-term projects or seasonal fluctuations: companies in the waste disposal and recycling industry need maximum flexibility. Doppstadt is meeting this challenge with its restructured range of used and rental machines.

Thanks to the centralisation and digitalisation of the entire process, the company now offers customers in Germany a significantly larger selection of machines. To this end, Doppstadt integrated its rental business into its internal sales department at the beginning of November and merged it with its used machine business.

“High acquisition costs are often a deterrent to short-term investments, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises,” says Christian Jenk, Head of Used/Rental Machines & Internal Sales at Doppstadt. Renting processing technology offers companies decisive advantages. Flexibility is particularly crucial. “Whether it’s a matter of compensating for seasonal fluctuations, covering short-term projects or coping with order peaks – our rental concept offers the right solution,” says Jenk. Typical rental periods are usually between one and six months, but can be adjusted individually.

Entire product portfolio available

Customers benefit not only from rapid availability, but also from a wide selection of machines from the Doppstadt portfolio. A specialist will assist them in choosing the right solution for their project. In practice, rental solutions often serve as a valuable test phase. Customers can test a machine extensively before making a major investment decision. This means that renting reduces the investment risk. The powerful shredders in the Inventhor series are currently in particularly high demand.

Digitalisation speeds up processes

Doppstadt attaches great importance to uncomplicated and fast processing. Customers can easily submit enquiries about rental and used machines via the website. The company records all enquiries in a central ticket system and forwards them to specialised colleagues. The introduction of digital systems speeds up processing of customer enquiries, explains Jenk: “Thanks to digitalisation and the introduction of a central ticket system, our experts can contact the customer on the same day the enquiry is made. We want to move away from individual cases towards scaling and an even more professional set-up, from which the customer benefits directly.”

Doppstadt has standardised its rental conditions with a new rental price list. Every machine undergoes a comprehensive quality check, before each rental. Delivery is usually carried out by the company’s own staff or a long-standing partner shipping company, including professional on-site instruction.
