Appingedam / Emmen (The Netherlands) — During the RWM show in the NEC Birmingham, UK, the Bollegraaf Group production companies present an overview of their developments and innovations. A completely new booth design is introduced, providing a clear overview over the wide range of recycling equipment, turnkey recycling installations and supporting services which Bollegraaf Recycling Solutions has to offer. News ranges from an innovative, angled version of the advanced Lubo Anti Wrapping StarScreen®, to a vertical needles system for tying with PP twine, and the semi mobile Lubo Vibro-Air Sort® .
Ballistic Anti Wrapping StarScreen
The innovative and patented Anti Wrapping StarScreen, by Lubo Systems B.V., already combines the advantages of a trommel and traditional star screens by taking out the potential disadvantages of both systems: no more wrapping of film, tape or textile, and no more ’sausage formation‘ of materials. This new version of the AWS StarScreen can now be installed under an angle, adding the advantages of a ballistic separator to its already highly effective setup. This offers even more value for money as it can separate on fraction size and 2D and 3D materials .
Not only the rotation speed of its stars, but also its angle of inclination can easily be adjusted, to ensure high purity at high capacities. The Lubo Anti Wrapping StarScreen is available with multiple shaft and star types, to meet a wide variety of screening requirements. The patented Lubo disc quick connect system allows fast change of shafts without dismounting the entire drive train. A visual of the new Lubo angled StarScreen can be seen at the stand. In combination with the anti wrapping technology, this makes the system very maintenance friendly. Its compact, modular construction enables easy integration in most existing installations.
PP twine tying system for Bollegraaf HBC balers
The new PP twine tying system for Bollegraaf HBC balers is perfectly suited to bale RDF material. Bollegraaf offers this twine tying system in combination with their vertical needle station, since a vertical needle station produces more stable bales and has less chance of wire breakage, compared to horizontal needle stations. This unique system with 5×1 needles, moving vertically in a linear motion through the ram pulling twine around the bale, allows the needles to be positioned more closely to the ram. This results in less system pollution and less maintenance compared to traditional twine tying systems with needles pushing around the bale in a circular motion. Only A-quality materials and components are used in this twine tying system. This ensures the highest reliability and longest lifespan, for overall lower cost of operation.
The new Vibro-Air Sort is a versatile and compact solution for the separation of fractions based on variations in specific gravity. The Vibro-Air Sort is particularly suited to the removal of polystyrene contamination from sieve sand during demolition works, during composting or for applications in glass recycling for the removal of contamination by paper and films. The system consists of a vibrating conveyor, of which the angle is adjustable, linked to a blast nozzle with variable setting. Two vibration motors ensure the stable and reliable operation of the vibrating conveyor.
The adjustable infeed offers a wide range of applications for the separation of contaminated fractions. The compact construction ensures that the Vibro-Air Sort can be well-integrated into a new or existing sorting line. Processing capacity is dependent upon the fraction to be separated but will generally be up to 6 tons per hour. Its layout was designed to offer quality against a low investment.
