Appingedam / Emmen, The Netherlands — During the IFAT show in Munich, Germany, both production companies of the Bollegraaf Group – Bollegraaf Recycling Machinery B.V. and Lubo Systems B.V. – will together present a selection of their latest developments and innovations in hall C1, stand 423/524. Several of their products will be on display, ranging from the advanced Lubo Anti Wrapping StarScreen®, the innovative Bollegraaf Paperspike by Grumbach to the Bollegraaf RoBB (‘RObotics by Bollegraaf’), the latest in a fully automated sorting robotics.

The next generation of Bollegraaf HBC balers

Bollegraaf has a long tradition in the production of ‘best-in-class’ balers. With an extensive range of new innovative and features their balers just became even better. For example, the new Adaptive Proportional Channel Pressure System guarantees more compact bales (up to 20%) and significant cost savings with regards to energy and oil replacements. The innovative Variable Engine Frequency Drive results in
significant less energy consumption and less noise during operation. The first of these next generation HBC balers have already been successfully installed at various clients and results are overwhelmingly positive and beyond expectations. This strengthens Bollegraaf`s belief that their balers are now more than ready to face future challenges and ever increasing competition.

Perfectly suited for “waste to energy” solutions

Producing alternative fuels from waste is becoming increasingly profitable. The statutory requirements for the disposal and processing of untreated waste are becoming increasingly stringent, which is leading to mounting operational costs. Together with constant rise of energy prices, many MRFs value the production, for example the high-calorie RDF (refuse derived fuel) as an attractive option. To better address these requirements Bollegraaf`s existing tying systems can be upgraded for the use of PP wire. Furthermore, Bollegraaf also developed a completely new vertical tying system for baling with plastic Twine, ideal for RDF bales and a cost efficient alternative to PP wiring.

Lubo Anti Wrapping StarScreen – combining the best of both worlds

The innovative and patented Anti Wrapping StarScreen®, presented by Lubo Systems B.V., combines the advantages of a trommel and traditional star screens by taking out the potential disadvantages of both systems; no wrapping of film, tape or textile, and no ‘sausage formation’ of materials. In addition, the patented Lubo disc quick connect system allows fast change of shafts without dismounting the entire drive train. The Lubo Anti Wrapping StarScreen is available with multiple shaft and star types and also as a compact mobile or semi mobile installation, to meet a wide variety of screening requirements. A demo section of this innovation can be seen at the stand.

The Bollegraaf PaperSpike – highly cost

The Bollegraaf PaperSpike® (System Grumbach) is designed to deal with Curbside Paper / Commingled collections. Its working principle is extremely simple, robust and cost effective compared to existing optical sorters: a fully operational Paperspike® will be demonstrated at the IFAT stand.

RoBB – the automated QC sorting robot by Bollegraaf

Bollegraaf introduces the next level in high quality sorting intelligence with the newest version of its sorting robot, RoBB. This fully automated sorter is able to pick multiple kinds of plastics, such as PET, PE’s and PS, as well as paper and OCC, delivering high levels of purity and separation quality during the final stages of quality
control, resulting in a significantly higher value of output. Its detection unit includes a NIR (near infrared) camera and a height camera. A fully operational RoBB is on display at the stand.
