Brussels — EuRIC is launching a new Group focusing on glass recycling. Anarevi, the Spanish Glass Recycling Association, bvse Glas and Federec Verre are the founding Members of this Group, gathering National Associations whose activities cover glass recycling.
Dominique Maguin, EuRIC President, speaking in the aftermath of EuRIC Annual Event: “It is a great pleasure to see that a year after its launch, EuRIC adds a new resource stream under its umbrella”.
The new group will be focusing on glass recycling in the framework of the new circular economy package and other EU-wide policy issues of interest for glass recycling.
EuRIC is the umbrella organisation for recycling industries in Europe. Through its Member Federations from 19 EU and EFTA countries, EuRIC represents today across Europe over 5,500 companies generating an aggregated annual turnover of about € 95 billion involved in the recycling & trade of various resource streams, 300,000 non-outsourceable jobs and an average of 150 million tons of waste recycled per year.
